Storyteller Children’s Center serves toddlers from 18 through 36 months. The toddler program includes a variety of curriculum that builds on the child’s natural curiosity and enhances and develops the toddler’s social-emotional, linguistic, physical, and creative development.
Storyteller offers two preschool classrooms to prepare students to enter the school system. Storyteller’s State Street site has 20 preschool children and the program is partially funded through a partnership with Head Start. Head Start promotes school readiness of young children from low-income families through agencies in their local community.
Storyteller’s De la Vina Street site has 24 preschool children and the program is partially funded through a collaboration with the California Department of Education, referred to as California State Preschool Program (CSPP).
Scholarships for our preschool program are made possible by the William and Lottie Daniel Child Care Fund and the Santa Barbara Foundation.
